IFA and Best Friends Animal Society Meet with President of Ethiopia |

President Girma Wolde-Giorgis, Ethiopia's Head of State, supported joint efforts proposed by International Fund for Africa, Best Friends Animal Society and Humane Society International to expand an already existing project to reduce dog over-population through sterilization surgeries for homeless animals. The project also seeks to vaccinate homeless dogs against rabies and protect human health. The initiatives would reduce the associated risk of humans contracting rabies through exposure to un-vaccinated dogs.
