Over 150 people attended the conference, more than 10 speakers gave talks on different vegan/vegetarian topics. Dr Anteneh Roba, IFA President presented, "The Consequences of Eating Meat and Dairy Products on the Environment and Health". There were several vegan/vegetarian vendors that presented vegan food products African style. Ms. Seble Nebiyeloul, Vice President of IFA gave out over 1500 IFA brochures on issues pertaining to veganism to different African Vegetarian Societies and participants of the conference.
